We have our own toy remote, but of course that's just not the same.

Note: William would like to add that yes, he is wearing Christmas pajamas. He feels that as long as there is snow on the ground, it's kosher. Isn't that the official rule?

We were in Clarion this weekend visiting William's grandparents. I did take photos each day, but didn't get to post them until now (we're home). Here is Friday's photo.
It was freezing, and W spent half the weekend saying "Brrr!"
I snuck outside during a snow squall to try to catch these birds huddled in the tree. Only got one shot off before the dog scared them away. Oh well.

Wide Angle Play

My 50mm 1.4 is on my camera about 90% of the time. Maybe even more - especially in the winter since we're inside all the time, and it's great in low light. This morning I pulled out the ol' trusty kit lens, which is a 14-42mm, and played with it at its widest.

I'm breaking my own rules and posting 2 photos today. Sometimes the distortion is fun.

This week there's a self-portrait challenge on a photo message board that I love. I played around during the little guy's morning nap today and it was... well, challenging. I think you can tell that we had a long night with W last night. You can also tell that coffee was consumed AFTER this was taken!

A little color

There's nothing better than having your Mom around! "Nanna" came to visit this weekend and was a lifesaver as always. She also came bearing flowers. Thanks, Mom! Don't know what I would do without you. These look so happy and bright against the cold, cold snowy days outside.

Good Sport

Poor baby was really sick today. Here, though, he found a happy moment, playing with his new train from Nanna and Grandpa.

Well, I missed a day of posting. I took this yesterday - sad, sad day for little W. Very mean cold and his first fever ever. At least I took a photo - technically still on track.

Winter Wonderland

... A Winter Candyland, in fact. All of the trees are encased in a crystal-clear layer that reminds me of rock candy. It's beautiful. We're in the middle of a big ice storm; I ran outside for literally less than 2 minutes (it's still raining and I didn't want to kill my camera) on the deck. I'm dying to go walk around - the pines look even more amazing than this little tree that I stuck my (hooded! don't worry!) lens into for a second. Everything looks so fragile, like you could snap it in half.

Bedtime.

I tried to be a fly on the wall for story time tonight.
I snuck back out, and as I'm blogging this, I can hear Daddy reading Mother Goose to W in the nursery.

Brotherly Love

I got to be the shutterbug at a first birthday party today - there were lots of keepers of the b-day boy enjoying his company and his day in the spotlight. I really love this one for some reason - Big Brother watching Little Brother digging in to his very first taste of birthday cake. I'm sure their Mommy feels like Big Brother just turned one, too, but he is very much a little man now. Helpful, sweet, and happy to check out the festivities in honor of his little sidekick.

I was uninspired

Didn't feel like taking photos today, until this little lovebug shrieked with happiness when Daddy got home from work.
He would hug "Da" all night long if he could.
