Out with the old...

These 3 photos (prints are 8x10, not sure but guessing the frames are 16x20) have been part of my home for 4 1/2years.
I took them (on a point & shoot!) in Prague. They moved from my apartment in Manhattan to our house in Texas, and now hang in our dining room in PA. They were retired today. I took them out and am currently deciding on which 3 of the (flower) prints that arrived today will replace them. We had a good run, Prague pics!

Another warm(ish) day today - in the 50s, so we went to one of my favorite parks nearby.

I'm WINEY

I had a bad day. A really bad day. We found out that W is severely allergic to peanuts AND eggs.
Fabulous. Poor little guy. We had issues with our insurance at the pharmacy. "We" have 2 teeth coming in, and we skipped a nap.
There was ONE other photo taken today - an attempt at getting W to wear the cute new earflap hat I made him. He was screaming in it.
So... wine it is. Whine. Wine. Get it?

I have a problem.

No joke, about an hour after I took this, a box arrived on the doorstep with more yarn that I ordered last week.
Who wants a hat?!

I had some "Mommy time" on Sunday (2/20)
and walked around my parents' and grandparents' homes.
Saw this neat jug on my grandparents' patio.
It looked like it was waiting patiently for the better days of Summer.
Love the happy green color.

Kindergarten already?

We went to Nanna's school on Saturday!
William LOVED it.
Nanna's room was a wonderland to him.

You can tear it off every 2 seconds and throw it into a muddy puddle. It's fine. :)

The Great Outdoors.

It's 60 degrees today. A pretty big deal for Pennsylvania in mid-February.
We took a much-needed walk today, and you could certainly tell that W has not been outside lately besides quick dashes to and from the car. For the first time in months, he did not immediately say "BRR!" when we stepped out.
We pointed at airplanes, stared in amazement at the sky, and just soaked in the sun. I think he's ready for his first trip to the beach!

Victory!

We have been having sippy cup boot camp in our household. We've tried about 10 types of sippies at last count, and W has refused all of them. It's time for this big boy to ditch the bottle, so we've been working really hard on sippy drinking. It has been one of our biggest challenges so far. He'd go for days without any liquid if we left it up to him... just HATED the cups. We had tantrums, the whole works. In a moment of dumb luck (or... destiny?!) William himself spotted these adorable dog cups on a shelf at IKEA. I can't believe it. After all the types that were recommended to us, he LOVES these cheapos from IKEA. Huge win. (And I've got to agree with him, they're very cute!) So this is officially my least interesting 365 post yet, but perhaps my favorite. Cheers to you, doggy cups!

Sadly, today when I took my camera outside it was about 3:00 - worst winter light ever.
Too dark in the shade, and too direct and harsh in the sun. Oh well. I think Georgia enjoyed it.

Sleepover!

We went to visit our dear friends yesterday and spent the night - so fun!
Here is W with his future wife, S, who was born only 11 days after him!
A very animated conversation was held over breakfast.

COLOR!

It's been dreary around here. Snow, ice, rain, slush.
Today I had a huge treat - got to spend an entire day with 20 photography friends at Longwood Gardens.
My eyes are way too tired to edit these now, so all of the above are straight out of the camera.
But of course it was such a great way to spend a Saturday. Fellow photo nerds, conversation, and gorgeous flowers.
