"Tail" to the Lion

W LOVES everything Penn State. Really. We couldn't make it up. He asks multiple times per day for us to sing the Alma Mater and "Hail to the Lion," which he calls "Tail to the Lion."

While we were walking around downtown State College on a very nice, warm Sunday after Thanksgiving with Nanna and Grandpa, we made a stop to see the lion.

Best smile ever

It's hard to catch a "real" smile... William either freezes and gives the deer-in-headlights look when he sees the camera, or, more often, simply turns and runs (I don't blame him)!...

But while playing with Uncle Andrew, Uncle David, and Daddy in Boalsburg, I was so happy to get this little gem.

Pals

Tried to sneakily take a shot of William feeding Georgia "Os" (Cheerios) at breakfast in Gula's kitchen. He spotted me!

Thankful

The McCombies had 24 people for Thanksgiving, including my parents and brothers! It was just perfect. Thank you!

Dare you not to smile...

We got a great grin right after this, but I LOVED this one. Outtakes can really be the best!

Action Shot

I also posted this on William's blog today, but love it and wanted to share here, too. He was having a blast on Mom & Dad's bed.

ISO 1600

Just playing with the new camera today. Haven't even gotten the flash out of the box yet, so took this at ISO 1600 with no flash. Not bad! I like it. 1600 was the max on my Olympus, and it was super grainy. The new Canon goes up to 6400 (expandable to 12,800) - such a difference!

Back in her rightful place...

Or so she thinks!

Miss Georgia Beasley used to spend a lot of time on the couch, sleeping in our bed... this was, of course, all before her human brother came along.

Last night, though, we caved to her cute little begging face, and she was allowed to snuggle with her Dad on the couch.

ROAR!

William's first time trick or treating! We only went to our two next-door neighbors' houses, because William was having fun answering our door for the other little monsters.

He would jump up and sprint to the door when he heard the doorbell, screaming "More kids!"

Happy Halloween!

Took some fun sledding photos on this day, but how can I NOT choose my little Halloween dragon for the 365 picture?

October snow?

...and a lot of it, for that matter.

I'm all for some snow photos, but this was SO early!

Wild Animal

FINALLY took the new camera out for a spin. Spotted this cute little raccoon, complete with nose, at the park. He was frolicking on the paths and having a grand old time.

Crafting

Have been busy editing 10 sessions from the past weekend, and still haven't played with the new camera. Did take a break to work on decorations for William's tractor birthday party, though!
