We went to the park to feed the ducks today, which was thrilling for the little guy. There was also a fun diversion in a field of dandelions.

Oh boy!

Had another newborn boy this morning - SO cute. He had a very proud big brother... got some sweet shots of the two of them together, too. Just starting to edit, but liked this one. What a face!

We spent the weekend with my parents - here are Esch & William after the country club's egg hunt. The day started out rainy and cool, but the afternoon ended up being beautiful.

Bluebonnets... in PA?!

We lived in Austin, TX for 3 years, and each April there is a crazed rush as everyone gets bluebonnet pictures 9which is the state flower) with their kiddos. It's a big deal down there. Well, who knew that a park down the road has a beautiful field of similar (Daddy thinks maybe these are bluebells?) flowers... I was so excited!

I have some sessions there coming up, so I took William tonight to test out the light. I'll be saving the best ones for his grandparents, but here was a cute outtake. Can't wait to edit these. It was gorgeous.

Saturday, April 16th

AUSTIN!

We spent a nice afternoon at our dear friends' house and got to meet their new baby girl. Good memories of many weekend days and nights spent together, enjoying things like this yummy homemade mojito with basil from their garden and fresh fruit.

I didn't take my camera on the trip, so I used someone's Iphone to snap this. Couldn't break my 365 streak!

Friday, April 15th

Had to take a quick snapshot in the a.m. before I left for the airport - went to Austin for the weekend, and W was lucky enough to have his Grandparents stay with him! I missed this little face so much over the 2 nights that I was gone (my longest time ever away from him).

Another crazy day on Wednesday without any good camera time (all Photoshop time). Snapped this one during breakfast - crumbs all over his chair, his cute little PJs.

William's first photo

So proud of my little artist. It has been a CRAZY week. Editing 6 sessions I had between Friday and Monday, William had his first (THREE HOUR!) allergist appointment, my Mom was here last night, and Esch's parents are coming today. Tomorrow I leave for Austin, TX.

In any case, life got in the way of my 365 blog this week. Late Tuesday night I realized, OH NO! I hadn't taken a single photo all day. At 9:46 p.m. I took this single shot - a picture of a picture. Earlier in the day William had snagged my cell phone and I heard the "camera" snapping away. He took about 10 pictures of his feet and the floor as he ran around with it, pushing buttons. I think this particular photo is of his finger and little socked foot.

So here is it, without further ado: William Wesley's first masterpiece. I love it.

It's been a really long weekend and it's only Saturday... another long day tomorrow. So for me, this little moment tonight before W's bedtime was appreciated even more than usual. Fresh out of the bath, damp hair, smelling sweet, book time with Daddy. Happy 17 month birthday, lovie!

Played with the remote for a minute today... surprisingly the focus was not too bad. Had to use kisses to keep my little subject in the right spot!

Flower Picking

Today couldn't have been prettier. This was taken almost exactly at noon, which is just about the worst natural lighting possible - direct, harsh, overhead with strong shadows. Crazy pollen particles in the breeze. Who cares, though... this little guy picked his Mommy a flower for the first time, and nothing else really mattered.

In fact, I can't choose just one favorite today. A few minutes later:

There's a weekly "alphabet challenge" on a photo message board, and today was stumping me until I glanced into William's toy basket. Not sure if I liked the editing here (was trying something different to spice up a pretty bland shot). Oh well! It's pouring rain in true April Showers fashion outside, so at least it's colorful!
